Wordle – How Did Wordle Begin?
Wordle is a word-guessing game created by a software engineer in Brooklyn. It’s a free game with a black background and no ads. The game’s creator says that people appreciated a free game that was accessible to all. Hence, the game was launched in October 2017. By the end of November, it had been played by over 90,000 people. But how did Wordle begin?
The idea for Wordle was originally created by Josh Wardle, a software engineer at Reddit. He and his partner Palak Shah both love word games. Initially, he made a prototype for the game with a team of engineers, but soon scrapped it and started from scratch. This was a risky move, but Mr. Wardle wanted to make a game that his partner would enjoy. A few years later, he came up with the word-strewn word cloud.
Its creator also said that Wordle would be free for everyone to use, but it may not be for long. Currently, Wordle has one puzzle per day. However, it will eventually become part of the puzzle service offered by The New York Times. Despite this, the game remains free.
