The Creative Business Unit is a division within Square Enix that oversees production of games, such as Final Fantasy, the Dragon Quest series, Nier, and arcade games. In addition to the Mana series, the Creative Business Unit IV is responsible for remastering and remakes of previous games. Creative Business Unit iii Games

Previously known as Business Division 5, Creative Business Unit III (CBU III) is the internal development division within Square Enix. The group works on the Final Fantasy series, its spin-offs, and the Dragon Quest Builders series. In 2020, Square Enix will transition CBU III to focus on single-player Final Fantasy XVI. The division is led by Yoshinori Kitase.

The Creative Business Unit IV is led by Hirokazu Nishikado and focuses on the Mana series. Its staff includes former Business Division 1 executives Naoki Yoshida and Hideaki Torii.
