Personic is a Delaware County Health Care Company

Two Delaware County entrepreneurs have combined their medical expertise with their finance and technology backgrounds to form Personic Health Care. Initially, they wanted to focus on producing COVID testing and remote monitoring devices, but their new vision includes behavioral health care. Meanwhile, Delaware County hospitals are experiencing budget cuts and brandywine Hospital is closing. Nevertheless, they hope to expand their services and expand access to health care for underserved communities.

The new location for walk-up COVID-19 rapid testing has been opened in the parking lot of the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon. Testing is available between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Testing is not offered on Saturdays or Sundays. There are no appointments required, but the service is free. Personic Health is a Delaware County health care company and is proud to provide quality health care to the people of this community.

It Offers Rapid and PCR Tests

The Personic health testing facility opened its doors to the public on March 16. It provides free RT-PCR and rapid antigen testing. The company guarantees results within 24 to 48 hours. The testing facility is accepting people who do not have health insurance. Those who are not insured can use their social security number to sign up. Since its opening, traffic on Maple Avenue has been backed up and appointments are needed.

The Delaware County Health Department has partnered with local healthcare provider Personic to provide free COVID-19 testing and RT-PCR. PCR results are usually available in under 24 hours. The tests are performed at Personic’s own lab. The testing facility is located at 125 Chester Ave. in Yeadon. It is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., though COVID-19 testing is not available on Sundays.

It Offers Interpretation Services for Spanish-Speaking Families

The PVUSD’s Special Services Translation Unit provides a variety of professional translation and interpretation services for Spanish-speaking families. The interpreters will take turns interpreting for other speakers and then step out again. They may take notes to ensure accuracy. Depending on the situation, interpreting can take as little as 15 minutes or as long as two hours. The team can also assist with translating medical documents and school materials. If you have a need for interpretation services, contact the PVUSD office today.

For immigrant clients, legal interpreting is an essential tool. An experienced interpreter can help with legal questions and procedures, while simultaneously providing translation services for families. Similarly, Spanish interpreting is a critical component of hospitals today. Spanish-speaking patients often have limited English-language skills and require medical professionals to communicate effectively. The service can also be helpful in navigating healthcare settings and ensuring patient safety. For instance, a bilingual staff member can understand the needs of a patient who cannot communicate effectively in English.

It has a Drive-thru Testing Option at the Mall

A new drive-thru health testing option at Fashion Square Mall is now available for people without an appointment. The health district has already made drive-thru testing available at the mall, but this new option comes from Personic Health Care. Located near Red Lobster, the new drive-thru testing site will offer COVID and PCR tests for free. The tests take 48 hours to process, so it is not recommended for people with diabetes to go without treatment for at least one week.

It has a Behavioral Health Clinic

There are many people who struggle with behavioral health problems, and yet not everyone is receiving the care they need. Because there aren’t enough resources, many people don’t receive the treatment they need. In fact, one in five adults is suffering from a mental illness, and only 40% of those individuals receive the treatment they need. It is imperative that individuals receive treatment for behavioral health issues as soon as possible. However, if an individual is not able to attend a traditional mental health clinic, telehealth may be the right solution for them.

Behavioral personic health refers to the connection between the body and the mind. It can range from eating habits, physical exercise, smoking cessation, and various mental health challenges. It can also include psychiatric disorders, marriage counseling, and addiction treatment. Seven out of 10 people will visit a behavioral health clinic at some point in their life. This trend is not surprising, as many people seek help for mental health issues when they have a problem with addiction.
