The Mason COVID Health Check tool allows health care workers to detect Ebola in its early stages. The tool asks community members to record their exposure and symptoms, as well as complete a daily journal. These records are used to trace potential contacts when a member of the community tests positive for the virus. More than 16,000 Mason community members have completed the tool and more than 1,200 have been tracked.
To stay safe and to protect students, Mason has a strict mason covid health check testing policy, which includes daily surveillance testing. Students must be willing to sign the corresponding consent forms. Moreover, all students are required to wear protective masks, practice social distancing, and practice hand hygiene.
